Re-examining the fifty-year: Breitling launched AVI REF. 765 1953 RE-Edition
High heels in popular Navitimer Ref. 809 1959 RE-Edition, Breitling continued to develop a stable pilot watch, which is inspired by the old model. The AVI REF is unveiled in the last week. 765 Released in 1953, introduced the design of the original version of the 1950s, in fact, only the second official re-issue Swiss brand.
Since the initial decline, AVI 765 has quickly hit in the media in 1953, recovered precious design from the rich files of a hundred years, and provided a unique model in the modern lineup of Breitling. Interestingly, the retro common pilot itself is based on the brand design and production of the 1930s and the 1940s – the same watchmake in the design of its contemporary pilot 8 series Navitimer watches. The new AVI 765 1953 is just released in a limited edition, but there are various colors in three different materials.
Watches will be provided in steel, platinum and rose gold boxes with a diameter of 41.1 mm. The case has a sharp lug, evoked the projections found in the pilot watches of the 1950s and use a retro style (read: small) pump pump with push / pull chaos. The surrounding dial is a metal, the two-way rotary baffle is marked with the Alabic label, while protecting it is a dome of Harring Crystals, Hara Peng is a more accurate material, not today’s sapphire is more commonly used. .
The Dial of AVI 765 1953 is the black, platinum version dark blue, although the respective configuration and artificial – Patina accent remain unchanged. The outer part of the dial is a minute ring of a subtle timer style, marked with a small Arabic number in every five minutes, and in these markers, the Arabic label re-decorated with super luminova. As for its sub-region, we found an unusual 15-minute timer counter that along the original lifting of the original, and the 12-hour counter and running the second indicator at 6 hours and 9 o’clock position. The power supply for this retro re-release is Breitling Caliber B09, COSC certified manual winding movement, an impressive 70-hour power reserve; it is protected by the solid team of stasibility details. Interestingly, the steel mold is the only version with the back of the thread box, while two precious metals are used with older snapshots, although each removal of the same water resistance, up to 3 bass (30 meters / 100 feet).
